Western New York State of Mind

Yo. Parker Scott here!

Whew. What a weekend we have had. We had to travel to Buffalo this past weekend for Uncle Josh and Aunt Kim's wedding. Needless to say, I had a lot of "firsts" this week.

To begin with, this was my first experience with a plane flight. Mom and Dad were nervous I was going to be a screaming baby on the plane. I knew all along it would be a piece of cake. I wasn't worried at all. In fact, I was at such ease, I decided to just blow bubbles the entire time we were waiting for the plane.

Once again, the ever paranoid parent, Mom was afraid I was going to get all my clothes wet, so she made me wear this bib. I think she's crazy. Doesn't she know bibs are for kids that eat actual food?? I just drink milk. I don't need a bib yet, silly.

Me and Dad eating before the plane takes off. Apparently, he doesn't need a bib.
Of course, just like everything else, they were worried about nothing.I was a pro! I was awake for a bit because I had to see what this whole plane thing was about, but I quickly discovered it was quite boring. You sit. for hours. with nothing to do. BORING! I decided sleep was more intriguing than the plane.

When we arrived in Buffalo, I finally got to meet my Uncle Josh. I wasn't quite sure what to think of this man I hear Daddy call "Uncle Perm" (whatever that name means). He swears he is my favorite uncle. Considering he is my only uncle, I'd say that's a pretty safe bet.

I'm not quite sure what I think of him at this point. Really, I'm just hungry and don't care too much about having my picture taken. I'd rather eat.
Friday, we made the drive up to Rochester to prepare for all the wedding festivities. Seeing as how I am a baby, there wasn't much I could do for the wedding other than sit and watch, which was okay since I'm trying to figure out what this whole wedding thing means. Apparently, it's when an adult baby boy and an adult baby girl leave their Mommy and Daddy to live together. Mom says it better be a looooong time before I do that and right now, I agree. That sounds crazy! Why would I want to leave my Mommy and Daddy when they do everything for me!?! Anyway, enough of that.

After the rehearsal, Mom and Dad got to enjoy an amazing meal. Of course, once again, I miss out on all the fun. Luckily, Uncle Perm  Josh came to play with me.
Maybe he's not so bad after all
Thanks to the wedding, I got to spend my first night in a hotel. My Mom says she LOVES sleeping in hotels and now I can see why! They are so cozy!

Finally, the wedding day was upon us. Mom said I looked handsome and quite frankly, I would have to agree!

Unfortunately, my pants kept looking like capris when someone would hold me abd boys shouldn't wear capris. Mom should think about this a little harder next time.
At the reception I got to meet a lot of cool family members. Unfortunately, my Mom, the supposed camera lover, did not get a picture of me with Uncle Josh and Aunt Kim at the wedding. Guess she's not as good as she thinks she is.

Me with my Great-Grandma B, which is short for Baudendistle. That's a bit of a mouthful for me to say right now. Who am I kidding? Everything is a bit of a mouthful for me to say right now.
I also got to meet my Great-Aunt Janet. I think she's funny.
My Great-Uncle Chris, cousin Jessica, and Great-Aunt Diana
My Great-Grandma Smith and cousin Christina
Cousin Christina makes me smile
During the dance, some of Aunt Kim's friends passed around glow sticks. Mom and Dad made me get on the dance floor with one. Mom thought it would be cute. Too bad it looks like a straw.
Despite Mom and Dad's worries, I was an extremely good boy at the wedding and reception (so everyone told me). However, I still can't keep up with the adults yet. I mean, seriously people, I'm just a little baby, and you all stay up way too late. Luckily, my Great-Aunt Debbie was there to help me fall asleep.

The next day was just as eventful as the previous two. First, we had to say goodbye to a lot of family. I was still pretty tired though and my cousin Evan is just so nice, I fell asleep in his arms.

Later that evening, we went to the Anchor Bar, where the chicken wing was invented (the food, not the actual body part of course). Apparently, they are pretty good (pretty much one of Daddy's favorite foods) so I thought I would try one.

Just kiddin'! Of course I didn't eat a chicken wing. Do you know what those things would do to a baby's stomach. Geez! So instead, I just hung out with my Uncle Josh and Aunt Kim.

She liked to touch my hair. A LOT. In fact, a lot of people like to touch my hair. I can't figure out why. Don't they touch their own hair every day?? Mine isn't anything special.
Enough with the pictures already

All of this excitement wore me out! I know I sleep a lot, but this week took up a lot of energy and I pretty much passed out every night!

Overall, it was a good trip. Of course, we had to get some last minute pictures before we left. Unfortunately, Uncle Josh and Aunt Kim couldn't be in the pictures because they had already left for their honeymoon. Yet another silly thing adults apparently do.

Unfortunately, we all left with some pretty yucky stuffy noses and coughs. Another casualty of traveling and running around. Mom says I need to go and catch up on my sleep so I can feel better (though I really think she wants me to sleep so she can feel better). So until next time. Later Peeps.
